Where the real journey begins

A few days. A small group. A route shaped with care, so you can simply be here, now.

Indonesia's volcanoes at first light. The mountain passes of northern Vietnam. The Bali that guidebooks leave out. These are journeys we've travelled ourselves, and we keep coming back to them with people who are looking for more than the view. We lead every trip in person. We know these roads, where to stop for the silence, when to leave the route to surprise you. We leave room for the spontaneous, and for everyone to feel like themselves.

The rest takes care of itself.

Indonesia
The volcanoes of Indonesia
Volcanoes
of Indonesia
Three volcanoes, three sunrises over the craters
Ijen's turquoise sulphur lake, the sand sea of Bromo, the caldera of Batur. A route for those who want to feel Indonesia under their feet. Between the raw energy of the volcanoes we drop into the humid valleys of Java, where the jungle hides some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the whole archipelago. Local places, local people, extraordinary nature.

Balinese rituals
In the wake of
Balinese ritual
Bali still keeps its own rhythm
Temples and waterfalls tucked into the jungle. Springs where, for generations, the Balinese have left offerings and begun the day in prayer. Time with the local community. A route through the places where Bali still lives at its own pace, between ceremony, family, nature and quiet.

Komodo and Flores
Komodo
and Flores
Islands of the eastern archipelago
A voyage through Komodo National Park. A morning landing and a meeting with the Komodo dragons. Snorkelling off Pink Beach, where the reef starts a few metres from shore. Walks across the singular hills of Padar, with bays in three shades of turquoise below. Sunset over Kalong Island, as thousands of bats lift along the horizon. Flores and the traditional Manggarai villages; a morning sunrise over the Kelimutu volcano, whose three lakes shift colour with the seasons.

Sumba
Sumba
Raw and real
There are no resorts on every beach here, no promenades lined with restaurants. Instead there are communities living by old ways, landscapes with no skyline, and an ocean that sets the rhythm of the day. Villages still gather around the Marapu faith, and stone tombs stand before the houses like a quiet chronicle of families.

Vietnam
Ha Giang Loop
Ha Giang Loop
Northern Vietnam by motorbike
One of the most striking roads in Asia. Passes that rise above the valleys, rice terraces falling toward the Nho Que river, villages strung between the slopes. The route runs along the Chinese border, through stark, almost lunar country. This is borderland, a blend of cultures, languages and traditions that have crossed both sides of these mountains for centuries. Far from the big cities. Further still from the tourist rush.

Vietnam from Hanoi to Saigon
Vietnam. One axis,
many worlds
From Hanoi to Saigon
Ha Long Bay seen from the deck of a boat. The imperial quiet of Hue. The evening lanterns of Hoi An mirrored in the water. The Phong Nha caves hidden in limestone hills. In the south, the energy of Saigon and the slow rhythm of the Mekong Delta. A journey along the full length of the country, from the cooler landscapes of the north to the tropical south. Through history, food, architecture and everyday life.

Sapa
Sapa
The mountains of northern Vietnam
In the planting season the terraces fill with water. They become hundreds of mirrors, holding the sky and the morning light. Whole hillsides turn into a shimmering mosaic. Walks through the Hmong and Dao villages follow narrow paths between the fields and the wooden houses. Unhurried. With time for conversation and for quiet. Mornings in the clouds, evenings in small, carefully chosen places down in the valley.

Thailand
Northern Thailand
Northern
Thailand
Chiang Mai · Chiang Rai · the Golden Triangle
Temples on the mountainsides. Tea plantations sinking into the morning mist. Time and conversation with the monks, which lets you look deeper than the temple walls alone. Evenings at the Chiang Mai night markets, where the food and the crafts still feel local. Further north, a cruise on the Mekong in the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. This is a calmer, more contemplative side of the country, away from the coast and the usual holiday script.

The islands of southern Thailand
The Southern
Islands
The quiet of the Andaman
The smaller islands of the Andaman Sea, where the day begins in silence, Koh Lipe, Koh Yao Noi, Koh Lanta. By kayak through the mangroves, between limestone formations, or snorkelling on reefs you reach at first light. Dinners on the beach, simple and fresh. The south of Thailand at a slower pace. Away from the main resorts. Closer to the sea.
